With final authority to proceed given by the Royal Navy, the expedition team makes final preparations before heading South.

Message from First Sea Lord
With 2 months to go until the start of the adventure, Admiral Sir George Zambellas KCB DSC ADC, First Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Staff, delivers a message in his capacity as the Senior Service Patron for Antarctic Endurance 2016.
Official Launch Event
The Antarctic Endurance 2016 launch event took place in the James Caird Hall at Dulwich College on Monday 12 October, in the presence of Patrons and sponsors.
The Alps Beckon
The team is set for another training week in the mountains – this time in the Alps.
6 Months to Go!
In 6 months the team will be joining the yacht Xplore at the start of their adventure. Much to be achieved before then by all involved.
Team take on the 3 Peaks Challenge
In a bid to raise money for the project and get in some valuable team training, the members of AE16 will be tackling the 3 Peaks Challenge – climbing the highest peak in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. Donations can be given online at:
Royal Patron anounced
HRH The Duke of Edinburgh is the Royal Patron for Antarctic Endurance 2016.
Yacht Contract Signed
The agreement between Xplore Expeditions and Antarctic Endurance 2016 has now been signed. All focus now on raising the final funds required.
